Kitchen Color Ideas – Purple Kitchen Cabinets
Given the predominance of white and gray kitchens at the moment, finding one with eccentric purple base cabinets as part of a very sophisticated scheme including drab vanilla walls and gray-violet accents has a vibrant and youthful originality. It reminds me of a kitchen in a European country cottage, albeit one updated modestly to include stone counters, with a nice piece left over for a matching table top. While it may lack in cabinetry detail, tile or whizzy appliances, it has plenty of zip and charm and we love the old-fashioned details left behind such as the window “ventilation” for the range, vintage wall-mounted sink faucet and water tank. Purple is the royal color, and it gives the kitchen above a truly regal appearance. Bold accents of citrus on the ventilating hood, and of olive on the floor, combine with the frest color scheme of grape and white to give this room a one-of-a-kind look. The Luxury series is like a lacquered jewel box. Although the amount of Purple would take some getting used too. It has been said that the color purple decreases your appetite, so that would make this the equivalent to a European diet non? What a stylish one it is as well.
