SieMatic recently won one of the first Microsoft WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) Client Innovation Awards in the lifestyle category for its S1-Grid interactive user interface, part of the SieMatic S1 “multimedia” kitchen. The SieMatic S1 has already received the red dot “best of the best” award, the competition’s highest distinction.

“For us, this prize represents continued confirmation that we’re presenting the future of kitchens with our new SieMatic S1,” said Ulrich Siekmann, CEO and president of SieMatic. SieMatic IT developers designed and implemented the S1-Grid on a Microsoft WPF platform as a modular, open-ended framework. Future Grid services, such as a gourmet portal with recipes and ports for the connection of devices and home automation, are currently in development. （K/BIS）
