A mess area for storage and everyday food preparation can be screened from view by sliding doors.
The house was completely redesigned in a recent renovation, but the arched colonnades outside are part of the original design. These provide some balance with the linear forms of the kitchen. A large rectangular rangehood relates to the chunky shape of the two islands.
