This is a traditional style kitchen in New Jersey. The solid wood cabinetry is made of quarter sawn oak. The Center kitchen island with metal stools is also a breakfast area.

There are two faucets at the sink, one for filtered water. Kitchen Bridge faucets in English Bronze by Perrin & Rowe for Rohl.

The 45-square-foot kitchen is divided into three work zones. The foreground eating department, cooking center, a small freestanding table used both for serving and cleaning up afterwards. The lights over the dining table is from Design By Us, the chairs are from Ikea.

Kitchen cabinet doors are painted in exactly the same shade as an American refrigerator from Witt.

Jaw-droppingly beautiful kitchen! The cabinets are old, but now it is painted white. An old table was wheeled from the flea market and got a small kitchen island.

White open shelving for pans, trays and bowls. The hooks under the shelf is from Grandma’s attic. Everything on the shelves are second hand. Consoles from Ikea.

The family has preserved the beautiful old wood stove.

Vitrinskåpet was saved and painted white. The cloth is a white sheet with tip.

White dining table, some chairs and table lamp, from Ikea. The open shelves on the wall,where the old white porcelain eye-catching. Window frames with mirrors reflecting the light.

The kitchen cabinets painted in linseed oil S-5502-R from Wibo color from IKEA. The shelf under the upper cabinets are specially designed, like wine racks. Stove and fridge / freezer, Electrolux. Oilcloth, design, Tom Hedqvist, 10-group.

Dining place, table and wall shelf. The panel is original from the 1920s. It was dropped with egg tempera in a deep blue color, 2-852, from Ovolin Color & Building.

Useful shelf under the upper cabinets for bowls and Seasoning bottles. The shelf of birch, with spot lights over, are specially designed.

In one corner of the north wall was recreated a pantry in the 1920′s style.

The most glamorous of her kitchen renovation was this art deco styled kitchen. She used gorgeous marble for the countertops. The showstopper had to be the floors which I totally fell in love with – mosaic tiles in black and white in a simple repeating pattern.

Gray, white and black are really starting to grow on me for a kitchen. One could argue that gray is cold and uninviting but the right gray with white and black can really make a crisp and bold statement. Check out the back splash as well as the striped floor!

Candace Olson is a genius when it comes to total renovations and overhauls. When it comes to kitchens, she is definitely the queen. If I were to choose any designer to build my dream kitchen, it would Candace Olson hands down.
Her signature trademark for many of her kitchen countertops is quartz which is beautiful and more durable than granite. Granite will stain and so having really light colors for granite counter tops actually takes a lot of work to upkeep.
