The couple built the house themselves for almost five years ago. The house would be open as possible and they placed a dining room and living room in an upstairs “where the view is best” and where the heat rises naturally. Downstairs is cooler and there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large hall. Upper floor rooms are also placed after the sun has its time: in the kitchen the morning sun spreads its light and in the drawing room with adjoining patio enjoyed the afternoon sun.

The kitchen is built by Ikea frames with two different tops. The white drawer fronts, applause, was a carpenter who sawed the handle after Mia’s sketch. Drawer fronts, metal knobs are made of different materials. Range hood Magnificent, all from Ikea. On the open shelves, Ikea Järpen, there are pottery, pitchers, decanters and glasses clean and accessible. The black door is self-designed, from Specab interiors in Älmhult.
