This kitchen belongs to Céline, who live in downtown Marseille, the south of France, she sent her loft photos to kim and wanted to share her loft design. The kitchen is really a fantastic work, complex but creative wall decoration, stainless steel cabinets but feel warm.

“She sent some photos of her industrial kitchen, along with photos of her dining room and patio (which took 6 months to create) and a couple before photos. ‘In the dining room and kitchen we mixed vintage letterboxes, my father’s old shop ‘comptoir’ with antique carrera marble, old advertising, a station board, tolix chairs ….’ I adore the kitchen – it’s far from sparse which gives it such an inviting feel. This is Matt and Blair’s home, the kitchen has beautiful blue-green walls, in a color that’s very hard to photograph accurately: It shifts between pale blue, green, and turquoise in a delightful play of colors as the morning sun comes in. It’s so lovely, and yet it’s just one of the many smart, modern, and retro-inspired decisions Matt and Blair made in their kitchen.

The kitchen is a wonderfully pleasant space: A big room, with high ceilings, and windows open to the backyard. Even though the house itself is not terribly big, the kitchen feels so spacious. They chose a “fresh retro” look, that great blue-green color, and bright red cabinets.

The TV sits in an upper cabinet so the family can enjoy watching the news in the morning without it taking up counter space.
